UCC Medical Society presents their seminar

” A doctor’s toughest diagnosis: Their own mental health”

On the 24th of November at 7pm, G01 Brookfield Health Science Building.

On this evening researchers, Doctors and Clinical psychologists will come together to destigmatise Mental Health Issues in Medicine and highlight initiatives that have led the way in prevention and intervention for doctor health.

Guest speakers and their titles are as follows.

Prof. Jim Lucey- “Physician heal thyself”

Dr. Zeshan Qureshi- “Overcoming stigma and censorship”

Prof. Ted Dinan- “Depressed doctors: Causes and consequences”

Dr. Bláthnaid Hayes- “Wellbeing of Irish hospital doctors”

Dr. Anthony O Connor- “Once in a lifetime”

Dr. Margaret O Rourke- “Preventing the preventable”

The seminar is open to staff and students of UCC as well as doctors from our various teaching hospitals/ clinics.
