Mary Immaculate College
This event was run as part of Mary Immaculate College’s Positive Mental Health Week in November. For the event over 250 ‘positivity packs’ were made and handed out to students and staff around the college for a flash event in order to raise positivity levels around the college and to make people smile.
We made up the packs together as a society by sticking a positive quote on the front of envelopes and including a selection of items aimed to make people smile inside the envelopes including confetti, a crayon, and a tea-bag. We had a note inside the envelope to explain the meaning behind the different items and behind the packs themselves.
Our members ran around the college on the day of the event and handed the positivity packs to everyone in sight and wished them a happy positive mental health week.
The event caused so many people to smile and many recipients of the packs told us that we had made their day or that they had really needed the positivity at that moment which was so encouraging and lovely to hear.
